Mojave River
The river runs along the city's eastern side. Its course is easy to see as a winding green band across the desert, even though surface water is often scarce.

La mappa
Victorville Map Poster & Print
Victorville lies in the Mojave Desert of Southern California, on the high plateau north of the San Bernardino Mountains. On a map, the city looks like a large grid of streets laid over open desert. Its edges are loose, and new subdivisions and empty parcels sit side by side. Interstate 15 cuts diagonally through it on the route from Los Angeles to Las Vegas.
The Mojave River runs along the eastern side of the city. For much of the year it flows mostly underground, but its course is clear on the map as a green corridor through the dry land. The city also has a Route 66 museum. To the north-west, the former George Air Force Base is now the Southern California Logistics Airport.
A Victorville map poster shows how a desert city grows. The streets are straight and long, the gaps are wide, and the river is the one natural line that runs through them. The monochrome style gives the plan a clean, almost diagrammatic look.

Interstate 15
The freeway crosses the city at an angle and slices through the street grid. It links Victorville to Cajon Pass in the south and towards Las Vegas in the north.
Former air base
To the north-west, the old George Air Force Base, now a logistics airport, shows up as long runways and large, open blocks on the map.

Perché Victorville
Una mappa che ha un significato
Victorville is meaningful to people from the High Desert, to military families who were stationed at George, and to anyone drawn to the open landscape of the Mojave. The spare, gridded plan looks striking on a wall.
Set a custom title, add a subtitle or date, and edit the coordinates line. The five styles are Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, and Sand suits a desert city particularly well.
