Wolf Trap is a residential community in Fairfax County, Virginia, between Vienna, Tysons and Great Falls, in the western suburbs of Washington, D.C. The area is heavily wooded, and on the map this shows as a network of curving roads and long driveways, with houses spread out on large lots rather than tightly packed.
The community is named after Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, the only national park in the United States devoted to the performing arts. Its large open-air Filene Center hosts concerts and performances in summer. The park and the wooded stream valleys around it form the green heart of the map.
