Great Zab River
The river flows past on its way to the Tigris, its wide channel and shifting banks creating broad, flowing shapes that contrast with the straight streets of the town.

La mappa
Xebat Map Poster & Print
Xebat, also written Khabat, lies west of Erbil in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, on the open plains that stretch toward the Tigris. The Great Zab River passes close by, and from above its wide channel and gravel banks form the most striking feature of the area, a braided band running between farmland and low hills.
The town itself is compact, with a regular pattern of streets around a main road that connects it with Erbil to the east. Beyond the built-up area the map opens into agricultural land, with fields and scattered villages. Its position near the river makes water a constant presence on the map, shaping where fields and settlements lie.
A Xebat map poster is a composition of town, river and plain. In black and white, the tight grid of streets sits against wide open ground, and the curving course of the Great Zab adds movement to the sheet. It is a spare, calm map that suits the landscape it describes.

Compact town grid
The built-up area is organised around a main road with side streets set at regular intervals, a neat, legible pattern that reads clearly at any poster size.
Open plain
Farmland surrounds the town on all sides, giving the map generous empty space and making the settlement itself appear sharply defined at the centre.
