Ankeny Map Poster & Print
Ankeny lies just north of Des Moines, in the flat farmland of central Iowa. Its map sits on the rural square-mile grid that covers much of the Midwest, with straight section-line roads running north to south and east to west. Within those squares, newer neighbourhoods have been built with curving streets and cul-de-sacs, creating a striking contrast between rigid frame and flowing infill.
Ankeny has been one of the fastest-growing cities in Iowa in recent decades, and its map clearly shows successive waves of development pushing outwards. Interstate 35 runs along the western side of the city, forming a strong boundary and a direct link to Des Moines.
The city is also home to the main campus of Des Moines Area Community College, which forms a large block on the map. An Ankeny map poster captures this blend of agricultural grid, modern subdivisions and campus in clean black lines, an image of the growing Midwest drawn with precision.

Interstate 35
