Baruipur Map Poster & Print
Baruipur lies south of Kolkata in the South 24 Parganas district and marks the transition from the metropolitan area to the delta countryside. On a map, the town gathers around its railway station on the suburban line from Sealdah, where the tracks branch and head further south. Roads run out from there through a pattern that is dense in the centre and thins quickly.
What stands out is the water. Ponds and small tanks of every size are scattered across the town and the surrounding villages, and on the poster they appear as a dotted field of small shapes. The Adi Ganga, the old channel of the Hooghly River, once ran through this area, and traces of its course are still part of the local landscape.
A Baruipur map poster shows a town where urban blocks and cultivated land blend into each other. The area is well known in West Bengal for its orchards, especially guava and lychee, which supply the markets of Kolkata and fill much of the green space around the town.

Pond landscape
Numerous ponds and tanks punctuate the town and the villages around it, a typical feature of the Bengal delta that looks like a scatter of small shapes on the map.
Orchard belt
Guava and lychee orchards surround the built-up area. On the poster they appear as open ground between the scattered village roads.

Baruipurを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
The poster suits families from South 24 Parganas, Kolkata commuters with roots here, and anyone who likes the way water shapes Bengal's landscape. The pattern of ponds creates an unusual texture.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a family name or a date. There are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The digital files cost $9 and include six print sizes.
