Buwenge Map Poster & Print
Buwenge is a town in Jinja District, in the Busoga region of eastern Uganda, a short distance north of Jinja and the source of the Nile. It grew along the road that leads north from Jinja toward Kamuli. On the map that road is still the main organising line, and the town's trading centre is concentrated around it.
Away from the centre, the streets loosen quickly into rural lanes, homesteads and cultivated land. Busoga is a farming region, and the surrounding map carries that rhythm. Plots, paths and small clusters of buildings spread across gently rolling ground, with the Victoria Nile within reach to the west.
