Old Town by Buck Creek
The historic centre sits beside Buck Creek. It is a small, tighter grid of streets that shows the settlement's original scale before the suburbs grew.

Helena Map Poster & Print
Helena is a city in Shelby County, Alabama, south of Birmingham. From above, it is typical of the wooded suburbs around Birmingham. Curving subdivision streets end in cul-de-sacs, and they are separated by ridges and strips of forest. Main roads run through the valleys, and the residential streets branch off them.
The original settlement sits on Buck Creek, and the small historic core known as Old Town is still clearly visible near the water. The creek winds through the city and gives the map a natural line through the newer neighbourhoods. The Cahaba River, one of Alabama's best-known rivers, flows nearby.
A Helena map poster captures a place that grew quickly from a small railroad and mill town into a sought-after residential community. The contrast between the compact old centre and the looping newer streets tells that story without any labels.

Subdivision curves
Much of the city is made up of winding residential streets and cul-de-sacs. At poster size they form looping, almost botanical shapes.
Wooded ridges
Forested high ground separates the neighbourhoods. On the map it appears as open space that breaks up the street network into distinct pockets.
