Knotted old lanes
The centre is a close weave of short, irregular lanes and alleys that give the middle of the map its dense, almost hand-drawn texture.

Jalālī Map Poster & Print
Jalālī sits in the Aligarh district of western Uttar Pradesh, on the broad alluvial plain between the Ganges and the Yamuna. From above, the land is almost perfectly flat. That flatness shows on the map: roads run in long straight lines toward neighbouring villages, and the town appears as a dense cluster where those lines meet.
The older part of town is a tight mesh of narrow lanes that bend and fork with no grid behind them, the way settlements grow over generations. Newer roads at the edges are straighter and wider. Beyond them the pattern thins into field boundaries, irrigation channels and scattered hamlets, each one a small knot connected back to the centre.
A Jalālī map poster shows that contrast between the crowded centre and the open country around it. In black and white, the dense lanes read almost as texture, while the roads leaving town draw clean lines across the page. It is a quiet, honest portrait of a working town on one of the most intensively farmed plains in the world.

Roads to the villages
Straight rural roads leave town in several directions across the plain, linking Jalālī to surrounding villages and giving the composition a clear radial structure.
Doab farmland
Around the town, the flat land between the Ganges and Yamuna is divided into fields and channels, a fine, open pattern that frames the built-up core.

Jalālīを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
For families with roots in Jalālī, or anyone who grew up in these lanes, the map is a way to keep a specific place on the wall far from home. It suits a living room, a study or a gift for relatives who moved away.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or a year, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Buy the $9 HD files or order a printed poster on matte paper.
