Jutou is a small town in Gansu Province in northwest China, in the hilly southeastern part of the province. This is loess country, where fine windblown soil forms rounded hills cut by gullies and river valleys. The town has few streets, and they are closely tied to the terrain. A main road carries most of the traffic, with smaller lanes branching off to houses and fields.
