Kadod is a town in Surat district, Gujarat, in the Bardoli area, on low ground near the Tapi River. From above, the settlement is a tight core of houses and lanes surrounded by a wide patchwork of fields. Roads lead out toward Bardoli and neighbouring villages, and the river valley shapes the land around it.
This is fertile, well-watered country, and farming dominates the map as much as the town itself. Canals, field boundaries and tracks create faint geometric patterns across the surrounding land. At the centre, the older lanes form a denser, irregular knot where most of the daily life of the town takes place.
