Moussadou lies in the Nzérékoré Region of southeastern Guinea, in the forested and hilly country known as Guinée forestière. Detailed maps of towns this size are often simple, and that simplicity is part of the appeal. From above you see a few main roads meeting, and around them clusters of houses and compounds that thin out into fields, woodland and footpaths.
The land is gently uneven and well watered, and small streams and low ground interrupt the pattern of settlement.
