Pahāsu is a town in the Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh, on the fertile plain between the Ganges and the Yamuna. The land is almost perfectly flat, and on the map the town appears as a dense core of lanes and houses surrounded by a wide field pattern that extends in every direction.
The streets of the centre are narrow and irregular, the result of gradual growth rather than planning. Main roads connect Pahāsu to surrounding villages and larger towns in the district, and these straighter routes cut through the agricultural landscape. Villages appear as small, separate clusters, each with its own tight arrangement of lanes.
