Paraibano Map Poster & Print
Paraibano is a municipality in the interior of the Brazilian state of Maranhão, far from the coast and the capital São Luís. The surrounding land is typical of this part of the northeast: open, dry for much of the year and largely rural, with settlements spread out across a wide landscape.
Like many small towns in the Brazilian interior, Paraibano is laid out as a fairly regular grid of blocks around a central square and church. On a map the grid appears clearly and then stops abruptly, giving way to roads and tracks that lead into the surrounding countryside.
A Paraibano map poster is for people with family ties to the town or who grew up there before moving to a larger city. The design is simple: a compact grid set in open space. That clarity suits a minimalist print and gives the town an unexpectedly strong graphic presence.

Central square
Like most towns in the Brazilian interior, Paraibano has a central square as its focus. It appears as an open space inside the grid.
Roads outward
Roads and dirt tracks leave the town in different directions. They cross the open land as fine lines and connect it to neighbouring municipalities.
