Avanigadda is in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, in the part of the Krishna delta known as Diviseema, the land between the river's branches near the Bay of Bengal. The landscape is flat and intensively farmed, and the map shows water everywhere: river channels, irrigation canals and the fine lines of drains running between the fields.
The town itself is a compact network of streets gathered around its main roads, with the market area and temples at the centre and residential lanes spreading outward. Beyond the last houses the paddy fields begin at once. They are divided into small plots that give the map a soft, even texture reaching out in every direction.
Diviseema is remembered across India for the cyclone of November 1977, which struck this coast and caused great loss of life. The region has since rebuilt and remains one of the most productive rice-growing areas of Andhra Pradesh. An Avanigadda map poster records that steady resilience: streets, canals and fields held together on low land beside the river.

Paddy patchwork
Fields in small rectangular plots surround the town on all sides, and their boundaries create a fine grid that gives the poster depth and texture.
Delta roads
Roads leave the town towards the river crossings, the coast and neighbouring villages, running alongside the canals as often as they cross them.

Cur Avanigadda
Tabula quae aliquid significat
People from Diviseema who now live in Vijayawada, Hyderabad or abroad often want something that shows home as it really is: flat, green and threaded with water. A map does this more quietly than a photograph.
Add the town name or a family name as the title, a date as the subtitle, and adjust the coordinates. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Printed posters ship from print partners in more than 30 countries.
