Marand Map Poster & Print
Marand lies in East Azerbaijan province, north-west of Tabriz, on the route that leads towards the Aras river and the border. On a map, the town spreads over a plain framed by mountains. Its main axis follows the regional road, and the streets branch off it into residential quarters. Walled gardens and orchards border the built-up area.
The town has long been a stop on the route between Tabriz and the lands to the north, and that function still shows in its layout. The main thoroughfares are long and direct. The older fabric of lanes and courtyard houses lies close to the centre, and newer neighbourhoods extend outward in a more regular pattern.
A Marand map poster captures an Iranian plateau town in outline: a strong central road, a mix of old irregular lanes and newer grids, and a green edge of cultivated land. The mountains around it are not drawn, but they are felt in how the town is held within the plain.

Old lanes
Near the centre, the street pattern becomes denser and more irregular. These lanes and small blocks mark the older parts of the town.
Garden belt
Orchards and cultivated plots surround the built-up area. On the poster they form a softer ring around the town, divided by paths and irrigation lines.
