Plains street pattern
With no relief to shape it, the street network spreads evenly across flat ground, and long residential streets run out from the centre in straight lines toward the farmland.

Orosháza Map Poster & Print
Orosháza sits in Békés County on the flat, open land of the Great Hungarian Plain, where almost nothing interrupts the horizon. From above, the town is a dense core of streets that thin out in every direction into long rows of houses and then into large, rectangular fields. With no hills or major river to work around, the layout comes down almost entirely to roads, rail and property lines.
The town grew as an agricultural centre, and it is also known in Hungary for glassmaking and for Gyopárosfürdő, the spa and lake resort on its edge. On a map the resort is a separate small cluster by the water, linked to the town by road. An Orosháza map poster sets that pale patch of water against the tight street network of the centre, which gives the sheet a clear sense of balance.
Printed in black and white, the plain turns into a study of straight lines. Railway tracks cut across the town at an angle, the main roads leave toward neighbouring towns, and the residential blocks keep to a steady grid. It is a quiet, orderly composition that suits its subject: a working town on open land, drawn without decoration.

Gyopáros lake
The spa district of Gyopárosfürdő forms its own small cluster around a lake at the edge of town, a soft open shape next to the regular blocks of the centre.
Rail and roads
Railway lines and regional roads cross the town at different angles, and they are the strongest diagonals in a map that is otherwise built from right angles.

Cur Orosháza
Tabula quae aliquid significat
An Orosháza poster tends to go to people who grew up here, spent summers at the spa or have family on the plain. Its calm geometry works well in a hallway or study, where a busier city map could feel crowded.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line to mark a name or a date, and pick from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. A digital HD file costs $9. Printed posters on matte paper, with an optional wooden frame, are also available.
