The map
Arnold Map Poster & Print
Arnold lies in northern Jefferson County, just south of St. Louis, where the Meramec River meets the Mississippi. On a map the city is framed by water on its northern and eastern sides. The Meramec winds along the edge in wide loops, and the broad Mississippi forms a straight, heavy line to the east that anchors the whole composition.
Inside those borders the street pattern is typical of a Missouri suburb built on uneven ground. Cul-de-sacs and looping residential roads follow the ridges and hollows instead of a grid, so the map fills with curved, branching shapes. Interstate 55 runs through the middle from north to south, its interchanges drawing crisp geometric knots among the softer streets.
A Arnold map poster shows how river country and commuter suburb sit side by side. Wooded bluffs and floodplain along the water appear as open space, while the neighbourhoods further in pack tightly together. It is a quiet, balanced image with most of the detail in the centre and a lot of breathing room at the edges.

Interstate 55 spine
The interstate cuts straight through Arnold, and its interchanges form sharp, symmetrical shapes that contrast with the winding residential roads around them.
Hill-shaped streets
Rather than a grid, the neighbourhoods follow the terrain, producing clusters of looping lanes and dead ends that read like branches on the map.
