Terms of Service

These terms apply to citymapposters.com (the “Service”), operated by City Map Posters (“we”, “us”). By using the Service or buying a product you agree to them.

1. What we sell

The Service lets you design map posters in your browser. You can download a free, low-resolution preview with a watermark. For $9 (plus applicable taxes) you can buy high-definition digital files of your design — 300 DPI PNG and PDF files in six print sizes, without a watermark. You can also order your design as a printed poster, optionally framed, produced and shipped by our print partner Gelato.

2. Payments and reseller

Payments are processed by Gumroad (gumroad.com), which acts as the reseller and Merchant of Record for our orders: it charges your payment method, issues the receipt and collects and pays sales tax or VAT where required. Prices are shown in US dollars; taxes are added at checkout where required. Shipping of printed posters is included in the price.

3. Delivery

Digital files are generated right after payment and made available on your order page and via the link sent to your email. Keep the link — it gives access to your files. If generation fails, contact us and we will deliver the files or refund you.

Printed and framed posters are made to order and shipped free of charge by our print partner from the nearest of its production sites in 30+ countries, usually within 3–7 business days. Delivery times are estimates. The status and tracking of your order are shown on your order page and under My Orders.

4. License

You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to print and display your poster and to give prints as gifts. You may not resell the files or prints, offer them as templates, or use them in commercial products without a written agreement. See the license page.

5. Map data

Maps are made from OpenStreetMap data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License. Map data may contain inaccuracies; posters are decorative and not intended for navigation.

6. Refunds

7. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service, attempt to obtain HD files without paying, overload our servers, or enter text that is unlawful or infringes others’ rights.

8. Liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order concerned. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
