The map
Auron Map Poster & Print
Auron sits on a broad terrace high above the Tinée valley in the Alpes-Maritimes, part of the commune of Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée. From above, the village forms a compact cluster of streets on open, gently tilted ground, which is unusual in a region of steep, narrow valleys. The deep cut of the valley runs below it, and the Tinée road follows the river north toward the high passes.
Behind the village, lift lines and pistes climb in long straight strokes toward the ridges, then split into separate sectors. The Mediterranean coast around Nice is only a drive of about an hour and a half away, so this is one of the southernmost major ski areas in the Alps. On a map, that nearness shows as a steady line of switchbacks running down to the sea.
An Auron map poster shows the resort as it really is: a small, sheltered settlement set on a sunlit plateau, with the mountain opening out around it. The contour of the terrace, the thread of the Tinée and the fan of runs above give the print a clear structure. It works equally well as a souvenir of a winter week or as a quiet piece of Alpine geography.

Tinée valley below
The river Tinée carves a deep, winding groove beneath the resort. The valley road that follows it is the main way up from the coast.
Radiating ski sectors
Lift lines leave the village in several directions and reach separate bowls and ridges. They draw a loose star around the settlement.

Why Auron
A map that means something
Auron tends to be the mountain of people from the Riviera, a place reached in a morning and remembered for its light. A print of it keeps that closeness between sea and snow in view, and it suits a hallway, a chalet or a flat on the coast.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line to mark a first ski trip or a family tradition. Then choose one of five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Each one gives the valley's contours a different weight.
