The map
Buxton Map Poster & Print
Buxton is in Derbyshire, at the edge of the Peak District, and is one of the highest market towns in England. From above, the town fills a shallow bowl in the hills. Streets curve along the contours, and moorland and limestone country press in on every side.
The centre has an unusual layout for a small town. The Crescent, a Georgian terrace built by the Duke of Devonshire, curves around the slope below the Slopes gardens. The Pavilion Gardens stretch along the young River Wye, and the huge Devonshire Dome sits just to the north. These curves give the map its character.
Buxton was built on its warm mineral spring, which still flows at St Ann's Well, and bottled Buxton water is sold across the country. A Buxton map poster shows how a spa resort was fitted into the Peak District's hills: formal crescents and gardens at the centre, winding residential streets around them.

Why Buxton
A map that means something
Buxton is where many people start walks in the Peak District, come for the festival or go to the Opera House. A map of its crescents and gardens is a refined reminder of the town and the hills around it.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a wedding or graduation date, and edit the coordinates line. The five styles include Paper and Noir, and printed posters come on matte paper, with an optional wooden frame.
