The map
Casarano Map Poster & Print
Casarano is a town in the province of Lecce, in the Salento peninsula of southern Apulia. From above, it has the typical shape of a Salento town: a dense historic centre of narrow streets, surrounded by newer neighbourhoods and roads that loop around the edge.
The town is known for the church of Santa Maria della Croce, often called Casaranello, which contains early Christian mosaics considered among the oldest in southern Italy. In the twentieth century Casarano also became a centre of the footwear industry, shaping its growth beyond the old core.
A Casarano map poster shows the contrast between the tight, irregular lanes of the centre and the more open streets around it. Beyond the town, the map fills with the fine pattern of country roads and field boundaries through olive groves, typical of the Salento landscape.

Why Casarano
A map that means something
Casarano is home for many families in southern Apulia and a place of return for those who left for northern Italy or abroad. A map of the town holds both the old centre and the surrounding countryside in one view.
Change the title, subtitle and coordinates to add a family name or the year of a wedding in town. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand suits the pale stone of Salento.
