Hillside street curves
Many streets bend around the uneven ground, so the older parts of Falagueira show loose, irregular shapes. They soften the otherwise dense map and hint at the terrain underneath.

The map
Falagueira Map Poster & Print
Falagueira is part of Amadora, the densely built municipality just northwest of Lisbon. From above, it is a patchwork of urban forms. Older streets curve along the slopes, planned housing estates sit in regular blocks, and wide roads cut through the neighbourhood toward the capital. There is very little open ground, and the street network fills almost every gap.
The area grew quickly in the second half of the twentieth century, as Lisbon expanded outward along its railway and road corridors. That growth left a layered map. Small lanes from earlier settlements survive between later apartment districts, and major routes pass along the edges. The metro's reach into Amadora ties the area directly to central Lisbon.
A Falagueira map poster shows the texture of a real metropolitan neighbourhood. It is not a postcard old town but a place where people live, commute and raise families. In monochrome, the density becomes a pattern of its own, with fine curving streets set against heavier road lines.

Planned housing blocks
Twentieth-century estates appear as regular groups of buildings set along short access roads. Their geometry contrasts with the organic lanes around them.
Links to Lisbon
Main roads and the metro connect Falagueira with the capital. On the poster, these heavier lines show how closely the neighbourhood is tied to the wider Lisbon area.
