Triple Frontier point
At the tip of the city, the Iguaçu and Paraná rivers join in a wide Y shape, with the shores of Paraguay and Argentina lying directly opposite on the map.

The map
Foz do Iguaçu Map Poster & Print
Foz do Iguaçu sits in the far west of Paraná, on the point of land where the Iguaçu river flows into the Paraná. The confluence forms the Triple Frontier: Paraguay lies across the Paraná to the west, Argentina across the Iguaçu to the south. On a map the city's regular street grid runs right up to these two broad bends of water.
Two bridges tie the city to its neighbours. The Friendship Bridge crosses the Paraná to Ciudad del Este, and the Fraternity Bridge spans the Iguaçu toward Puerto Iguazú. Upstream to the north, the Paraná is held back by the Itaipu Dam, one of the largest hydroelectric plants in the world, whose reservoir stretches far beyond the edge of any city map.
South-east of the centre, Iguaçu National Park protects the famous falls, a long arc of cascades shared with Argentina. A Foz do Iguaçu map poster can be centred on the downtown grid and the border rivers, or widened to show how the urban area gives way to the unbroken, street-free expanse of the park along the road to the falls.

Friendship Bridge
A single long span over the Paraná links Foz do Iguaçu with Ciudad del Este, one of the busiest border crossings in South America, drawn as a fine line across the river.
Road to the falls
A highway runs south-east from the city into the national park, where the street network ends abruptly and the river curves toward the Iguaçu Falls.

Why Foz do Iguaçu
A map that means something
Many people keep this map after a trip to the falls, and it works as a reminder of the border as much as the waterfall itself. The meeting rivers give the composition a strong natural shape, so the poster reads well even at the smaller 30×40 cm size.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with the date of your visit, and adjust the coordinates line. The five styles range from crisp Classic black & white to the warm tones of Sand. Digital files come in six sizes, each as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF.
