The map
Kankauli Map Poster & Print
Kankauli, often spelled Kankavli, is a town in Sindhudurg district in the Konkan region of Maharashtra. It lies inland from the Arabian Sea coast, in the rolling country between the shoreline and the Sahyadri hills. On a map, two long transport lines set its shape: the Mumbai–Goa highway and the Konkan Railway, both running through or close to the town.
Kankauli's streets do not follow a grid. They branch off the highway and the older market area in an irregular pattern, working around slopes, streams and plots of farmland. Around the built-up centre, the map thins into scattered hamlets and lanes. The surrounding land holds rice fields, coconut palms and the mango and cashew orchards common across Sindhudurg.
The town serves as a commercial and transport stop for the surrounding villages, and many travellers along the coast pass through it. A Kankauli map poster presents that quiet, organic layout: a spine of road and rail, a small dense core and a network of lanes that fade gradually into the Konkan countryside.

Market centre
A compact cluster of short, irregular streets marks the older commercial core. This is where the lines on the poster are densest.
Lanes into the hills
Beyond the centre, winding lanes spread out toward villages and farmland, following the gentle hills and streams of the Konkan interior.
