The map
Malatya Map Poster & Print
Malatya lies in eastern Anatolia on a broad plain near the Euphrates, with mountains rising to the south. From above the modern city is laid out in fairly regular blocks and long avenues. Around it, orchards and farmland take up much of the surrounding ground, so the urban shape fades gradually into cultivated land.
Malatya is famous for apricots, and the region supplies a large share of the world's dried apricots. Just outside the city, the ancient mound of Arslantepe was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2021 for its evidence of early state organisation. The older settlement, Battalgazi, lies a short distance to the north.
A Malatya map poster shows how the city's grid stretches across the plain, with main roads leading toward Battalgazi and the surrounding towns. Irrigation channels and orchard roads fill the edges with finer lines. The contrast between the dense centre and the open farmland gives the print a clear, balanced structure.

Orchard edges
Around the city, apricot orchards and farmland are crossed by small roads and irrigation channels, giving the outskirts a fine, textured pattern.
Road to Battalgazi
Roads lead north to Battalgazi, the site of the older town, linking the modern city with its historic predecessor across the plain.
