The map
Monthey Map Poster & Print
Monthey lies on the western side of the Rhône valley in the canton of Valais. It sits where the Vièze river comes out of the Val d'Illiez. On a map, the town fills a fan of level ground at the foot of the mountains, with the broad, flat Rhône plain opening to the east.
A large chemical industrial site lies beside the town. Its big buildings and internal roads form a distinct block next to the residential streets. The historic centre, near the river, has a closer, older street pattern, and newer districts spread across the plain.
A Monthey map poster brings together the valley floor, the steep slopes, the side valley and the river crossing the town. It gives a clear picture of how an Alpine town fits into its setting.

Industrial site
A large chemical works sits beside the town, its big rectangular buildings and grounds clearly separate from the residential grid.
Rhône plain
East of the town, the flat Rhône valley floor opens out with fields, roads and the river itself, in contrast to the steep slopes to the west.

Why Monthey
A map that means something
Monthey is home for people who work in the valley, ski in the Portes du Soleil area above the Val d'Illiez, or grew up in its streets. A map poster keeps the town and its mountain setting in one frame.
Add a title, subtitle and coordinates of your choice, then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the valley's industrial side.
