Pineapple plantations
Large plantation blocks surround the town, crossed by straight farm roads that form a geometric pattern on the map, unlike anything in a typical city.

The map
Polomolok Map Poster & Print
Polomolok lies in South Cotabato on Mindanao, between General Santos and Koronadal. The town centre is compact, with a grid of streets around the town hall and market. Beyond it, the land rises gently northward toward Mount Matutum, a volcano whose slopes shape the landscape around the town.
Polomolok is best known for its pineapple plantations, which cover large areas around the town and have made it one of the main pineapple-growing centres in the Philippines. On a map, the plantations show up as large, regular blocks crossed by farm roads, very different from the smaller streets of the town.
A Polomolok map poster brings together those two scales: the compact grid of the town and the large geometry of the fields around it. The mountain's slopes and the roads toward General Santos give the whole composition a clear direction.

The ground rises north toward the volcano, and roads and settlements gradually thin out as they climb its lower slopes.
Compact town centre
A tight grid of streets around the market and town hall forms the centre, surrounded by far larger plots of farmland.
