The Ganges
The river flows past the town in a wide channel with shifting sandbanks. On the map it is a large, calm shape that sets the scale for everything around it.

The map
Saidpur Map Poster & Print
Saidpur is a town in the Ghazipur district of eastern Uttar Pradesh, on the banks of the Ganges. From above, the river is by far the largest feature. It is wide, with sandbars that appear and disappear with the seasons. The town sits on the higher ground of the bank, with its streets running down towards ghats and the water's edge.
The older part of town is made up of narrow, irregular lanes and tightly packed buildings. It has grown over generations rather than being planned. Beyond it, roads lead out across the flat, intensively farmed Gangetic plain, where small fields and scattered villages cover the land in a fine, even pattern.
A Saidpur map poster places a compact town beside one of the world's great rivers. The broad curve of the Ganges fills much of the frame, and the dense street network clings to its bank. It is a composition that expresses how closely life here is tied to the river.

Riverside lanes
Narrow lanes lead from the town centre down to the riverbank. Their dense, irregular pattern contrasts with the smooth expanse of water beside them.
Gangetic plain
Flat farmland surrounds the town, divided into small fields and dotted with villages. It gives the edge of the map a fine, textured background.
