The map

Sarayköy lies west of Denizli in the wide valley of the Büyük Menderes river, known in ancient times as the Maeander. On a map, the town is a compact cluster of streets on the valley floor. A main road and the railway run along the valley and connect it to Denizli and the Aegean coast.
The flat land around the town is intensively farmed, so field roads and irrigation channels form straight lines on the plain.
