The map
Sherman Map Poster & Print
Sherman is the seat of Grayson County in North Texas, about an hour north of Dallas and a short drive south of the Red River and Lake Texoma. The town grew around a courthouse square, and the downtown grid still extends from it in tidy blocks. Newer subdivisions and commercial strips reach outward along the main highways.
US 75 runs north–south along the city, linking it to Dallas and to Oklahoma, and it shapes much of Sherman's recent growth. The town is home to Austin College, a small liberal arts school founded in 1849 whose campus sits within the city. In recent years, large semiconductor plants have brought new investment to the area.
A Sherman map poster shows the classic Texas pattern: a clear central square, a regular grid, and long highways cutting across open prairie. The college campus adds a green block of its own, and the curving streets of the suburbs soften the edges. It is a crisp, well-organised map with a strong centre.
