Erewash corridor
The river and canal run side by side along the town's western edge. They draw two close, parallel lines that separate Nottinghamshire from Derbyshire.

The map
Stapleford Map Poster & Print
Stapleford lies on the western edge of Nottinghamshire, where the county meets Derbyshire. The River Erewash and the Erewash Canal run along its western side and form a natural border line on the map. To the east, the town merges almost seamlessly into the suburbs spreading out from Nottingham.
The street pattern is a mix of Victorian terraces near the older centre and later estates spreading over gentler ground. The M1 passes close by. To the north, Stapleford Hill rises with woodland, home to the Hemlock Stone, a large sandstone outcrop that has been a local landmark and curiosity for centuries.
A Stapleford map poster shows these layers in one frame: a river and canal running in parallel, a dense town centre, residential curves and a patch of green hill. It is a small place, but its edges are unusually well defined.

Stapleford Hill
A wooded rise to the north interrupts the housing. On the poster it becomes a quiet open area, the setting for the Hemlock Stone.
Terraces and estates
Tight Victorian streets near the centre give way to looser, curving estate roads. The shift in texture across the map tells the town's growth story.
