Ravines
Deep barrancas run down the slope through the urban area. On the map they appear as narrow green gaps that separate neighbourhoods and shape the street layout.

The map
Temixco Map Poster & Print
Temixco sits just south of Cuernavaca in the state of Morelos, on land that descends from the volcanic highlands towards the warmer valleys below. From above its street network is irregular. Neighbourhoods follow ridges and gullies, and the ravines between them break up the urban fabric.
The Apatlaco River runs through the municipality, and main roads and the highway to Acapulco pass nearby. Temixco is well known for its large water park, built in the grounds of a former sugar hacienda, which reflects the region's long history of sugar cane growing.
A Temixco map poster shows a place that is both suburb and town in its own right, closely connected to Cuernavaca yet separated from it by terrain. The mix of dense barrios, ravines and green gaps gives the print varied texture.

Apatlaco River
The river follows the valley through the municipality. Its course gives the composition a natural, winding axis between the built-up areas.
Hacienda grounds
The former hacienda, now a water park, occupies a distinct block of land. Its outline stands out among the surrounding streets as an echo of the sugar era.

Why Temixco
A map that means something
Temixco is home for many who work in Cuernavaca, and a family weekend spot for people from across central Mexico. A map of it records a place shaped by slope, water and the history of the valley.
Add your own title and subtitle, perhaps a neighbourhood name or a date, and pick a style. Sand fits the warm valley climate. Classic black and white best shows the ravines between streets.
