Historic centre
Compact blocks around the main plaza, the parish church and El Parián form a small, dense core that contrasts with the broader, more modern street pattern around it.

The map
Tlaquepaque Map Poster & Print
San Pedro Tlaquepaque lies immediately south-east of central Guadalajara, and today the two form one continuous metropolitan area in Jalisco. On a map the municipality is a dense spread of neighbourhoods crossed by major avenues and ring roads. The historic town, on the side closest to Guadalajara, stands out as a small cluster of older, more irregular blocks.
That historic centre is what most visitors know. Its pedestrian streets, including Independencia, are lined with galleries, workshops and shops selling ceramics, blown glass and furniture, carrying on a long craft tradition. At its heart is El Parián, a large open building around a courtyard where mariachi musicians play for diners, next to the main plaza and the parish church.
Beyond the centre, the map changes into the working city: industrial zones, housing developments and highways linking to the airport road and southern Guadalajara. A Tlaquepaque map poster can focus tightly on the old town, where the square blocks and plazas read clearly, or pull back to show how it fits into the wider metropolis.

Calle Independencia
A pedestrian street of craft shops and galleries runs through the old town. It is a short, straight line that forms the backbone of any visit.
Metropolitan avenues
Wide avenues and ring roads cross the municipality and tie it to Guadalajara. In a wider frame they form a strong network of lines around the older centre.

Why Tlaquepaque
A map that means something
Tlaquepaque is where many couples marry, families gather for Sunday meals and visitors discover Jalisco's crafts. A map of the old town keeps a wedding or a trip in plain view. Add names and a date to the title and subtitle, and set the coordinates to the exact plaza.
The colonial centre looks warm in Sand or Paper, echoing the region's ceramics, and crisp in Classic black & white. Noir and Blueprint give a more graphic result. The $9 download includes six HD sizes, and matte printed posters are available with or without a wooden frame.
