Uherské Hradiště Map Poster & Print
Uherské Hradiště lies on the River Morava in the Slovácko region of southeastern Moravia. King Ottokar II founded it in 1257 as a royal town, on an island in the river that could be defended. On a map, the historic core is still clearly visible as a compact oval of streets and squares, with the Morava running just to the west.
The area was an important centre of Great Moravia in the ninth century, and nearby Staré Město and Velehrad are closely tied to that early history. Today the town is also known for the Summer Film School, a long-running festival that brings thousands of film fans to its streets each summer.
An Uherské Hradiště map poster shows how the town has grown outwards from that island core. There are river channels, bridges across to Staré Město, rail lines and residential districts reaching into the surrounding plain. The Morava gives the composition a strong, flowing edge.

Why Uherské Hradiště
A map that means something
Some remember Uherské Hradiště from long summer nights at the film school. Others grew up in Slovácko with its music and wine. A map of the town is a calm way to keep that part of Moravia in view.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with the year of a festival visit, and edit the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to match your space.
