The map
Uzhur Map Poster & Print
Uzhur is a town of about fifteen thousand people in the south of Krasnoyarsk Krai, in a belt of steppe and forest-steppe between the Siberian forests and the Khakassian basin. On the map it appears as a regular pattern of rectangular blocks, mostly low-rise housing, spread across flat ground. The streets run in long parallel lines, and the grid feels open, with plenty of space between the built-up quarters and the fields around them.
The railway is the strongest single line in the composition. Uzhur lies on the route running south from Achinsk toward Khakassia, and the town developed as a stop and trading point along it, gaining town status in the middle of the twentieth century. The district around it is agricultural, and several lakes lie scattered across the wider landscape, a reminder of how open and level this part of Siberia is.
A Uzhur map poster turns that geometry into something graphic. The repeated blocks give an even texture, the railway adds a strong counter-line, and the surrounding roads fade out toward the steppe. It is the kind of plan that looks deliberate and orderly on paper, a clear record of how a Siberian district town was laid out.

The railway line
The line running between Achinsk and Khakassia passes the town as a single confident stroke, giving the poster a strong diagonal accent against the grid.
Steppe on every side
Uzhur's edges meet open, largely flat farmland, so the street pattern ends crisply and the map shows the town as a distinct shape on the plain.

Why Uzhur
A map that means something
Uzhur is a map for people with a personal connection: those who were born there, served or worked nearby, or travelled through southern Krasnoyarsk Krai by rail. The orderly grid has a restrained, almost architectural look that fits a modern interior.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be edited, for example to add a birth year, a family name or a line in Russian. Five styles are available, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, from stark contrast to warm, soft tones.
