Müritz shoreline
The broad northern bay of the Müritz forms the lower part of the poster. It is a wide expanse of open water that makes the town's streets look dense by comparison.

The map
Waren Map Poster
Waren sits at the northern end of the Müritz, the largest lake lying entirely within Germany. On a map, the town is a compact wedge of streets between that open water to the south and the smaller Tiefwarensee to the north, so water frames it on two sides. In black and white the two lakes become broad, empty shapes, and they set the town's outline more clearly than any road.
The historic centre is a small, irregular grid of lanes around the market squares and old churches, running down to a harbour on the Müritz shore. From there, promenades and moorings follow the waterline. Newer residential areas spread north and east around the Tiefwarensee and along the roads leading out into the flat Mecklenburg countryside.
Waren is the main gateway to Müritz National Park, a landscape of forest, bog and many smaller lakes to the east, known for its ospreys and cranes. A Waren map poster shows how thoroughly water shapes the town, with shorelines drawn as clearly as any street and the lake itself taking up much of the page.

Tiefwarensee
This narrow lake curls around the northern side of town, drawing a second shoreline that almost encloses the old centre in water.
Harbour and old town
The town harbour opens straight onto the Müritz, with the short, irregular lanes of the historic centre rising just behind the quays.

Why Waren
A map that means something
Many people know Waren from summer: sailing on the Müritz, cycling through the national park, a first holiday in the Mecklenburg Lake District. A poster keeps that season on the wall long after the boat has been put away for the year.
Put a name, a boat or a year in the title and subtitle. Blueprint brings out the two lakes, Sand and Paper give a warmer look, and Classic black & white and Noir keep things sharp. Start with a free 900 px preview. The $9 digital set includes six sizes as PNG and PDF.
