The map
Wimborne Minster Map Poster & Print
Wimborne Minster lies in east Dorset at the meeting of two rivers, the Stour and the Allen. On a map the water frames the town to the south and east, and the older streets gather in a compact knot around the minster church before spreading out into later housing.
The minster itself is the town's defining building, known among other things for its chained library, one of the earliest in England. Around it, a small market square and narrow streets give the centre a close, medieval grain.
A Wimborne Minster map poster shows the river curves, the historic core and the roads leading toward Poole and the surrounding countryside. It is a gentle, readable picture of an English market town shaped by water.
