Yoshida-kasugachō lies in the Yoshida area of Tsubame, on the wide, level Echigo Plain in Niigata Prefecture. The map is almost entirely flat ground. Streets and houses form a compact area around the local station, and rice paddies spread in orderly rectangles to every edge of the frame.
Yoshida is a railway junction, where the Echigo Line meets the short Yahiko Line. These tracks are among the clearest structural elements on the map.
