Ko e mape
Andros is the northernmost island of the Cyclades. Its northwest tip lies a short strait away from the southern end of Euboea. The island stretches from northwest to southeast, and a series of mountain ridges and green valleys runs across it. Andros has more springs and streams than most Cycladic islands, and on a detailed map small watercourses run down to many of the bays.
Chora, the island's capital, sits on a narrow peninsula on the east coast. A small islet with a medieval tower stands just off its tip. Ferries from the mainland arrive at Gavrio on the west coast, and Batsi, a little further south, is the main resort. An Andros map poster shows the roads climbing from these harbours over the ridges and down again.
The island has a long seafaring tradition, and many well-known Greek shipowning families came from Andros. Its hillsides are criss-crossed by old stone walls and footpaths, which today form a network of marked walking trails.
The capital runs along a narrow spit of land on the east coast. It ends at a small islet crowned by the ruins of a Venetian tower.
The ferry port on the west coast is the island's main gateway. From its sheltered bay, roads fan out inland towards the ridges.
Parallel mountain ridges and green valleys run across the island. They give the terrain a regular, almost combed texture from above.

Ko e ha Andros
Andros attracts walkers, people with family ties to its shipping tradition and visitors who prefer the quieter Cyclades. The poster captures an island that is greener and more varied than the usual image of the Aegean.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, for example with a village name or the summer you spent there. Pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper gives the island's ridges a gentle, printed-map feel.
