Avon Map Poster & Print
Avon lies in northern Ohio, just south of Lake Erie and west of Cleveland. On a map it shows how Midwestern suburbs grow on top of a farm grid. Long, straight section-line roads mark out large squares. Inside them, curving subdivisions, cul-de-sacs and shopping centres have filled in the former fields. Interstate 90 crosses the city on a clean diagonal-free east-west line.
Avon changed from a farming township to one of the faster-growing suburbs in the region, and much of that change is recent enough to see in its street pattern. The city is also known for hosting a festival devoted to duct tape, an unusual local tradition that draws visitors each summer.
A Avon map poster sets these two layers against each other: the rigid mile-square roads inherited from the land survey and the looping residential streets that fill them in. Creeks cut across both in thin, winding lines, one of the few irregular features on the map.

Subdivision loops
Inside those blocks, curving streets and cul-de-sacs form the soft, looping shapes typical of post-war and recent suburban growth.
Interstate 90
The interstate crosses the city east to west, a heavy straight line linking Avon to Cleveland and the rest of the lakeshore.

Avon is often where people bought a first house, raised children or settled after a move to northeast Ohio. A map of its streets marks that chapter in a calm, graphic way.
