Badin is in the southeast of Sindh province in Pakistan, on the low, flat plain east of the Indus delta and not far from the Arabian Sea. On a map the town is compact. It has a dense core of narrow streets and small blocks, and roads spread out from it into the countryside.
The land around Badin is shaped by water. Irrigation canals and drains cross the plain in long straight lines and gentle curves, dividing it into fields.
