Ko e mape
Bocaiúva is a municipality in the north of Minas Gerais, in southeastern Brazil, lying south of the regional centre of Montes Claros. The landscape around it is cerrado, the tropical savanna of central Brazil, with a marked dry season, scattered trees and wide horizons. The town sits within this open country as a compact grid of streets, clearly distinct from the land around it.
The town shares its name with the bocaiúva, a native palm of the region also known as macaúba. On the map, the urban area forms a mostly regular pattern of blocks with a central district and outer neighbourhoods, while a main highway and country roads lead out across the savanna. Small streams and their green margins cut through the surrounding land.
A Bocaiúva map poster presents this relationship between town and landscape in clean line work: a neat grid holding its ground in open country, with roads reaching toward neighbouring towns. It is an understated but personal image for anyone who grew up in the north of Minas or keeps family ties to this part of Brazil.
Bocaiúva's centre and neighbourhoods follow a largely regular pattern of blocks, giving the map an orderly core that stands out sharply against the open savanna around it.
A main highway and country roads leave the town toward Montes Claros and other destinations, drawing long lines across the otherwise open landscape of the frame.
Small watercourses cross the land around the town, their winding paths adding soft curves that contrast with the straight streets of the urban grid.

Ko e ha Bocaiúva
A map of Bocaiúva speaks to those who know the town's streets from childhood or who left the north of Minas for a larger city. It keeps the shape of home present in a way a photograph rarely does, quiet and exact.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a family name or an important date. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, and order HD files or a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
