Borgaon lies in the Vidarbha region of eastern Maharashtra, close to the town of Wardha. This is black-soil country, known for cotton, and the landscape is mostly flat. On a map the settlement appears as a cluster of streets and lanes where a few roads come together, with fields surrounding it on all sides.
