Borssele is a municipality on the former island of Zuid-Beveland in Zeeland, in the south-west of the Netherlands. It borders the Western Scheldt, the estuary leading to Antwerp. On a map the landscape is flat and ordered: polders divided by dykes and straight roads, with several small village cores scattered between them.
Along the waterfront lie the port and industrial area of Sloe and the Borssele nuclear power station, the only one operating in the Netherlands. The name is also known from the Borssele offshore wind farm zone in the North Sea. A Borssele map poster shows these large installations beside quiet villages and farmland.
The historic villages keep compact centres, some built around a central church, which appear on the map as small dense patterns. Dykes follow the old polder boundaries and create lines that trace the history of land reclaimed from the sea. In monochrome, the water, the dykes and the fields form a clean, graphic composition.
The broad estuary runs along the southern edge, with shipping channels leading to Antwerp. The water gives the poster a wide, open boundary.
Dykes and straight roads divide the land into regular polders. Together they create the distinctly Dutch geometry that dominates the map.
Large basins, quays and industrial sites spread along the shore. Their angular shapes contrast with the small villages inland.

Ko e ha Borssele
Borssele is home to people in the Zeeland villages and a workplace for many at the port and energy sites. A map of its polders and shore records that landscape of reclaimed land and water in a precise way.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised with a village name, a date or a dedication. Choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
