Ko e mape
Boû Arfa lies in Blida Province in northern Algeria, close to the city of Blida, at the southern edge of the Mitidja, the wide, fertile plain that stretches behind Algiers. The town sits where the level farmland ends and the slopes of the Blida Atlas begin, and its map records that transition in the shift from straight roads to curving ones.
On the plain side, the land is divided into orchards and fields, part of the Mitidja's long tradition of citrus growing and market gardening. On the mountain side, the terrain rises quickly into wooded ridges. Between them, the town's streets form a compact network, with newer housing extending outward, closely tied to the growth of greater Blida.
Blida itself is often called the city of roses, and Chréa National Park lies in the mountains just above, making this a green corner of the region. A Boû Arfa map poster shows the town within that setting, with the geometry of the plain on one side and the folded contours of the Atlas on the other.
The flat, cultivated plain reaches the town from the north, its fields and orchards laid out in regular parcels that give the lower part of the map a calm order.
To the south, the ground rises into the Blida Atlas, and roads begin to twist as they follow the slopes, adding curved lines to the upper part of the poster.
The town lies close to the city of Blida, and the built-up areas of the two increasingly connect along the roads between them, visible as a continuous band of streets.
