Chanod lies in Valsad district in the far south of Gujarat, beside the city of Vapi and close to the Union Territory of Daman. The area has grown quickly alongside Vapi's industrial estates. Its map mixes the rectangular plots of factories and housing societies with the older, looser lanes of the original villages.
The Mumbai–Ahmedabad corridor passes close by, with the main highway and western railway line running north–south through the district. These straight transport lines contrast with smaller roads that wind between fields, mango orchards and water channels. Rivers crossing the coastal plain towards the Arabian Sea add curving shapes to the south Gujarat landscape.
A Chanod map poster captures a place in the middle of change, where industrial layouts, new apartment blocks and village cores sit side by side. In a monochrome print, each type of development shows up as its own texture. Together they form a readable record of how south Gujarat has grown in recent decades.
Large, regular plots and straight service roads, associated with the Vapi industrial area, give parts of the map a precise, almost engineered geometry.
Older settlement areas appear as irregular clusters of narrow lanes. They contrast with the planned estates and recall the area's rural origins.
The national highway and western railway line run nearby between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. They draw long, strong lines across the composition.
