Ko e mape
Chapeltown lies on the northern edge of Sheffield in South Yorkshire, in rolling country between the city and the Pennine foothills. From above, it looks like a patchwork of housing estates and older terraced streets. A railway runs through the middle of it, and green slopes and woodland push into the built-up area from several sides. The M1 motorway passes close by to the east.
Much of the town's history is tied to industry. The Newton Chambers company worked the Thorncliffe site for generations and produced iron goods, chemicals and, during the Second World War, Churchill tanks. That industrial past still shows in the layout of roads and old works land at the valley bottom.
A Chapeltown map poster shows a place in between city and countryside. Close-packed residential streets on its southern side lead toward Sheffield, and to the north and west the lines loosen into lanes, fields and woods. The railway and the main roads give the drawing a clear structure. The curving estates add a softer texture around them.

The old Newton Chambers works occupied the valley land at Thorncliffe. Today its broad plots and service roads read differently from the finer grain of the surrounding housing.
Woodland and open slopes press against the built-up area. On the map they appear as blank spaces that give Chapeltown its irregular, lobed outline.

Ko e ha Chapeltown
This is a map for people who know Chapeltown as home. It could mark the street you grew up on, the station you took into Sheffield or the house where a family started. A poster of it records a real, lived-in place rather than a postcard view.
Add a surname, a moving-in date or the coordinates of a particular street to the title lines, then choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It is available as a $9 set of HD files or as a printed poster on matte paper, with an optional wooden frame.
