Ko e mape
Chhatarpur lies in south Delhi, near Mehrauli and not far from the Qutub Minar. It is best known for the Chhatarpur Temple, a large complex dedicated to the goddess Katyayani, which draws many visitors, especially during Navratri. The surrounding area mixes an older urban village, newer residential blocks and large walled farmhouses set among trees.
From above, Chhatarpur has an irregular pattern. The dense lanes of the village contrast with wide plots and private estates, and major roads such as the route toward Mehrauli and Gurugram pass along its edges. To the east and south, the land becomes greener, part of the rocky, wooded Delhi Ridge that shapes this side of the city.
A Chhatarpur map poster captures a part of Delhi where the city meets open ground. Tight clusters of streets sit beside large empty spaces, and the temple complex forms a distinct block within the pattern. In black and white, the result is unexpectedly varied, a map that rewards close attention rather than a simple grid.
The Chhatarpur Temple grounds occupy a large, clearly defined area, forming one of the most recognisable shapes in the neighbourhood’s street pattern.
The older village core is a dense knot of narrow, irregular lanes, contrasting sharply with the larger plots and wider roads around it.
Walled farmhouses with large gardens leave broad, quiet spaces on the map, giving Chhatarpur a looser texture than most parts of Delhi.
