Denia lies on the Costa Blanca, roughly halfway between Valencia and Alicante. On a map the town gathers around its harbour and a castle hill in the centre, with the large bulk of the Montgó massif rising to the south. North of the port, long sandy beaches run past Les Marines. To the south, the rocky coves of Les Rotes lead towards the cape.
