Ko e mape
Devarkonda is a town in Nalgonda district, Telangana, set in a landscape of granite outcrops and dry farmland. Its best-known landmark is Devarakonda Fort, a medieval hill fortress spread across a group of rocky hills beside the town and associated with the Recherla Velama rulers. On a map, the hills break the street pattern and give the town an irregular, lopsided shape.
The town centre is a dense tangle of lanes, typical of an older South Indian market town, with main roads leading out toward Hyderabad and other district towns. Newer growth extends along these routes in narrow bands. Around them, the land opens into fields and water tanks, the small irrigation reservoirs common across the Deccan plateau.
A Devarkonda map poster shows the town and its fort hills side by side: busy streets on one side, rugged, largely unbuilt high ground on the other. It is a distinctive composition for anyone from Nalgonda district, and a quiet way to carry a sense of place from Telangana to a home elsewhere.

The centre is a close web of narrow lanes. In print it becomes the most detailed part of the poster, dark and finely textured.
Beyond town, irrigation tanks and farm plots dot the landscape. They add soft shapes and pale patches that frame the settlement.
